Aggregate Market in Poland: Regional Potential Analysis

Regional Potential Analysis of the Aggregate Market in Poland

Hume’s Institute conducted an analysis of the aggregate market in Poland by voivodeship, identifying regions with the greatest potential, commissioned by one of the largest aggregate producers.

Client Expectations

Project goal was to provide insights into the regional diversification of the Polish aggregate market. This information enabled the client to better plan development strategies and investment decisions in order to participate in the future market to the greatest extent possible—while keeping logistics costs as low as possible.

Research

As part of the project, nearly 300 time series were analyzed and forecasted—about 20 for each voivodeship. Each indicator was closely tied to the aggregate market and reflected the potential scale of that market in a given region. These indicators were then used to create an attractiveness index developed by our team. This tool objectively aggregates large data sets into a single indicator that directly answers the question of which region offers the greatest market potential. The index is based on one of the proven linear ranking methods used in business

The report directly answered the question of which regions in Poland should be areas of critical interest for the client.

Effect

The client received a report that clearly summarized the conducted analysis and developed forecasts. The results of the calculated regional attractiveness index were presented in a precise and readable way, specifically in the context of the aggregate market. Additionally, the strengths and weaknesses of each region were highlighted, along with basic information about each one, ensuring the document was easy to interpret.
